There is something special about taking an idea in your head and turning it into something you can actually hold, use, display or give to someone. That is what Malaika Creations is all about.

We are a creative studio in Durban. Under one roof we bring together 3D printing, custom-made pieces, crafting supplies, home décor, party products, sublimation, and training. You do not need to be a designer, an engineer or an experienced crafter to start.

More than a shop

Malaika Creations started from a simple idea: creativity should be accessible to everyone.

Sometimes you already have the perfect idea but do not know how to make it. Maybe a plastic part broke and nobody sells a replacement. Maybe you designed something and need it manufactured. Maybe you need a personalised piece for a birthday, a business, or an event. Or you saw something and thought, “I wonder if I can make that?”

That is where we come in.

Custom 3D printing

3D printing lets you make the thing you actually need, instead of searching for a part that no longer exists or settling for something mass-produced.

You do not need an STL file to start. Send a photo, a sketch, measurements, or the broken part itself. We help you see what is possible, then turn it into a printable file and print it here.

We print replacement parts, organisers, toys, décor, display pieces, prototypes and creative projects. From broken to built. From idea to reality.

Made for South Africa

Finding a specialised product, a craft supply, or a custom-made piece is not always easy here, especially when you need something specific.

We are building a place for makers, crafters, entrepreneurs, hobbyists, parents and businesses across the country. Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Pretoria, Gqeberha, or somewhere in between. The studio is in KwaZulu-Natal. We ship across South Africa.

Crafting, creating and learning

Malaika Creations is not only a counter where you buy a finished thing. We also share what we know.

Training and mentorship are there for people who want practical skills: how to make a product, how to price it, how to present it, and how to start a small business from an idea. The gap is often not equipment. It is knowing where to start.
